Scottish Lifeboat Helps Stricken Freighter

A lifeboat crew spent 17 hours supporting a stricken cargo vessel drifting in 30-foot waves near Tiree on the western coast of Scotland on April 13. Tobermory RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) lifeboat watched over the 290-foot ship in heavy seas while waiting for a tugboat. The Barbados-registered vessel, which was carrying wood chips, has a crew of eight.
