Several Killed and Dozens Wounded in Mazar-E-Sharif Attack

At least five people were killed at over 25 wounded after gunmen stormed a regional office of the attorney general in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capitol of Balkh province in northern Afghanistan, on April 9, leading to a gunfight with Afghan security forces.

The BBC reported that witnesses said they saw four gunmen enter the building, and that the Taliban had claimed responsibility for the attack. Radio Azani reported that “at least three men” had stormed the building, wearing military uniforms.
