#Shutdowna14 Protesters Block Intersection in Los Angeles

Protesters in Los Angeles took part in the #ShutDownA14 national day of action on racism and violence in US policing. Protesters gathered around 3pm at the downtown headquarters of the LAPD and later blocked the Blue Line metro tracks at Washington Boulevard and Broadway for almost two hours, according to ABC7. Fifteen people were arrested.

The protest was organized by the Stop Mass Incarceration Network based in New York, where a large hundreds of protesters marched on Broadway. Protests were also planned around the country including in Ferguson, Atlanta, Boston and Detroit. Credit: Instagram/Edgar Nuñez
