Singaporeans Salute Lee Kuan Yew's Casket

People lined the streets between Singapore’s Sri Temasek, the official residence of the prime minister, and Parliament House on Wednesday, March 25, to watch a casket procession of the country’s first prime minister, Lee Kuan Yew. Crowds chanted salutes to Lee as the casket, draped with the Singaporean flag, was transported on a gun carriage.

The casket will be on display at Parliament House for the public to pay its respects until Saturday, March 28. Lee died from severe pneumonia early on Monday, March 23. He was 91. Credit: Instagram/izakishi
