Sinn Fein's McGuinness Attends Launch of Gildernew's Campaign

Northern Ireland’s Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness attended on February 25 an event to launch the re-election campaign of Sinn Fein MP Michelle Gildernew. Gildernew is running in the Fermanagh-South Tyrone constituency for the nationalist Sinn Fein party. Sinn Féin has five members elected to the House of Commons; however, the party’s MPs do not take their seats in parliament, in line with a long-standing abstentionist policy.
