Somalia Confirms Plane Explosion Was a 'Deliberate Terror Act'

A blast that ripped a large hole in the fuselage of a Djibouti-bound passenger plane on February 2 was as a result of a bomb, according to Somali Transport Minister Ali Ahmed Jamac. Jamac made the comments during a press conference on Saturday, February 6. “The intent was to harm the passengers on the plane … This was not a technical fault. It was a deliberate terror act,” he said.
