Stranded Migrants Chant 'We Are Not Terrorists'

Hundreds of migrants and refugees remained stranded in an outdoor camp on the Greek side of the Macedonian border over the weekend as temperatures dropped, after the Balkan state allowed passage only to those fleeing the conflict in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq. Macedonia announced the move earlier in the week after Slovenia blocked access to what it called “economic migrants”.

According to a Red Cross worker, some 3,000 people were waiting on the Greek side of the border crossing in Idomeni on Saturday, November 21. This video, shot on the same day shows many facing a police line with placards and chanting: “We are not terrorists.” Credit: YouTube/PnPcreations
