Suicide Bomber Strikes Near Afghan Presidential Palace

A suicide bomber traveling in a vehicle laden with explosives killed at least six people and wounded over 30 in Kabul on Wednesday, March 25, in a blast that struck near the presidential palace. The target of the attack in Afghan’s capital city was not immediately clear, according to reports.

The bombing comes one day after US President Barack Obama announced during a joint press conference with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani that the United States military would slow the drawdown of troops from Afghanistan.
