Surveillance Footage Shows Carjacking Victim Escape From Tsarnaev Brothers

Jurors in the Boston Marathon Bombing Trial on March 12 saw surveillance video of a carjacking victim’s escape from the Tsarnaev brothers. The videos were released to the press on March 13.

One video shows Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who is on trial in Boston, entering a Shell gas station shopping for snacks. Near the end of the video, you see Dun “Danny” Meng escape and run across the street to another gas station. Tamerlan Tsarnaev then enters the Shell station, alerts his brother, and they both flee the scene.

The second video shows Meng enter the Mobile station and hide in the back as the attendant dials 911. The video then includes the audio of the 911 call, which includes Meng describing the carjacking and what the brothers told him about the bombing.

Meng testified about the carjacking and that the older Tsarnaev confessed to the bombing and to killing a police officer to him, according to local media
