Taliban Splinter Group Kill Lawyer Linked to CIA Tracking of Bin Laden

Gunmen in Peshawar, Pakistan, on March 17, shot and killed Samiullah Khan Afridi, a lawyer linked to an individual who helped the CIA track Osama Bin Laden. According to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) the Taliban splinter group Jundullah said that they carried out the attack because Afridi had defended Shakeel Afridi, a doctor who helped the US Central Intelligence Agency to locate Osama Bin Laden.

This video, released by RFE/RL affiliate Mashaal Radio, is described as showing Afridi’s body, draped in a sheet, being carried to an ambulance following the attack. Credit: Facebook/Mashaal Radio
