After Talks Collapse, Varoufakis Strikes Cordial Tone Towards EU Partners

Greece’s finance minister Yanis Varoufakis struck a cordial tone towards his European counterparts the morning after Eurogroup talks on his country’s debt broke up. Varoufakis said he will continue to work with other European leaders to achieve a “very good outcome for the average European.”

Talks collapsed after Greece deemed the EU’s conditions on an bailout extension as unacceptable. Greece is due to fun out of money at the end of February if a deal is not struck. Credit: European Council
