Texas Radar Shows Bug Swarm

A bug swarm in Texas on July 22 was so large that it appeared on radar, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS outlet in Norman, Oklahoma, posted this video showing the phenomenon near Copper Breaks State Park in Texas.

The area appears to be rain, the video explains, but it’s actually grasshoppers and beetles. The National Weather Service, though, said people wouldn’t see bugs flying around, but there were enough to reflect on the radar. Credit: YouTube/National Weather Service, Norman, Oklahoma
