Thousands Pack Portland Arena for Bernie Sanders Speech

More than 20,000 people attended a rally for Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders on August 9 in Portland, Oregon. While there were approximately 19,000 people inside the Moda Center, there were another 9,000 people outside listening via loudspeakers, according to local media. The Sanders campaign said it was the largest crowd the Democrat has drawn on the trail.
