Thousands Protest Against Malaysian Prime Minister

Thousands of supporters of the Bersih4 pro-democracy movement in Malaysia marched through Kuala Lumpur on August 29, demanding electoral reform, an end to allegedly corrupt practices, and the resignation of Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak.

In 2013, the Malaysian government was accused of taking unfair advantage of the Westminster electoral system, and in 2015, the Sarawak Report published a series of articles alleging corruption relating to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad government fund, with Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak connected to the scandal.
