Turkish Airlines Flight Lands Off Runway at Pristina Airport

Turkish Airlines Flight 1019 failed to land on a runway at Pristina International Airport in Kosovo on Monday, May 2, instead coming to a stop on a grass field. The incident was reportedly caused by bad weather, however an investigation has been launched in order to determine exactly why the plane failed to land on the designated airstrip. None of the passengers or crew were injured in the incident.

The airport will reportedly remain closed for several hours until the investigations are completed. Credit: Facebook/GazetaBlic
