US Boxer Roy Jones Jnr Asks Putin for Russian Passport

US boxer, actor and rapper Roy Jones Jnr is seen meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin in footage released by the Kremlin on August 20. The pair discuss a shared interest in combat sport, and Putin lavishes praise on Jones.

Putin also talks about US-Russian relations. “We had different times in our relations with the US,” he says. “But for the highest, superior interests, we always managed to set our relations at the best level."

Putin tells Jones: “I believe that if people like you could create some conducive conditions for developing the relations, not only on the state level, but on the people-to-people level, that would be great.”
