US Coast Guard Rescues Own Crew From Oahu Waters

Five people stranded off the Hawaiian island of Oahu were rescued by the US Coast Guard on May 12. Four of the five people rescued were Coast Guard personnel who were first to respond to a 72-year-old man’s distress call. According to local reports, the crew reached the mariner and attempted to tow his vessel – but the Coast Guard’s rescue boat also ceased to function.
