A quick-thinking member of the public who filmed a suspect fleeing the scene of a sexual attack, and spotted the same man again later - was pivotal in securing the conviction of a violent man who had a deep-seated hatred towards women.
Mentesnot Cheru, 29, has today been jailed for committing terrifying sexual assaults and unprovoked attacks against two women in Haringey.
Both of the attacks took place on Thursday 4th April. At approximately 10:20am, a 20-year-old woman was walking along Philip Lane, N15, before turning left into Clyde Road behind Tottenham Green Pools and Fitness. She then noticed a man running behind her.
