Vigil Held for Victims of Umpqua Shooting

A vigil was held in Stewart Park in Roseburg, Oregon, on the evening of October 1 to remember the victims of a campus shooting at Umpqua Community College. At least 10 people were killed and seven were injured in the shooting earlier that day.

Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin at a press conference said the shooting suspect was killed when police officers exchanged gunfire. Hanlin said there had been injuries and fatalities in the shooting, but would not confirm numbers.
