Wall Street Should Pay for Students' College Fees, Sanders Says

Independent senator and presidential candidate Bernie Sanders introduced legislation Tuesday to eliminate undergraduate tuition fees. The College for All Act would provide $47 billion per year to states to scrap fees at public colleges and universities. The federal government would foot two-thirds of the bill, with states picking up the rest.

Sanders said the federal government would pay for the initiative by a “Robin Hood tax” on Wall Street.
