WFP 'Forced to Make Cuts' in Syria Aid Due to Lack of Funding

In a press release on July 1, the UN World Food Programme (WFP) said it had been forced to make cuts in aid to Syrian refugees because of a lack of funding. “We are forced yet again to make yet more cuts,” said Muhannad Hadi, WFP Regional Director for the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia and Eastern Europe. “Refugees were already struggling to cope with what little we could provide.” Credit: World Food Programme
