WFP Makes 'Breakthrough' in Delivering Food to Yemen

On July 21, five months after conflict broke out in Yemen, the first World Food Programme (WFP) ship berthed on the country’s coast. The MV Han Zhi carried 3,000 metric tons of food – “enough to feed 180,000 people for one month.” The ship arrived on June 26 but, for security reasons, was forced to wait offshore for three weeks.
