Rescue Helicopters Arrive in Queensland

Heavy rains and fierce winds hit Queensland on Friday, February 20, after Tropical Cyclone Marcia made landfall north of Yeppoon. Sustained winds reached 110 km/h with gusts of up to 155 km/h, according to the Bureau of Meteorology. The cyclone was forecast to move south-southwest at 18 km/h while slowly weakening from early February 20.
