Witch of November Kicks Up Winds on Lake Erie

High winds kicked up the surf along the Great Lakes on November 12. This video shows flooding along Lake Erie in Port Dover in Canada and also a paddle boarder. Canadian officials expressed concern for those who live along the lake because of the winds that could reach 80 kilometers per hour, or 50 miles per hour, and kick up surf onto the shore.

The storm system, which is impacting the United States, is called a Witch of November, which happens when intense low pressure hits pockets of high pressure. Credit: Instagram/knanti
