#Yearinspace Rocket Moves to Launch Pad

A NASA mission that will research the long-duration effects of space travel on the human body is due to launch three astronauts to the International Space Station. The mission, which begins on March 27, will last one year; most missions to the station only last for six months.

Footage shows the Soyuz TMA-16M spacecraft and its booster being moved to the launch pad at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on March 25, where final preparations will take place.

The team comprises Soyuz Commander Gennady Padalka, Russian Federal Space Agency Flight Engineer Mikhail Kornienko, and NASA Flight Engineer Scott Kelly. The footage also shows crew members meeting with an audience for a Q&A as the launch date approaches. Credit: NASA
