Yellen Talk, Trade Balance: What to Watch on Wall Street April 2

On the economic calendar for April 2, investors will get weekly jobless claims for the week ended March 28, though the microscope will be on this one ahead of Friday's March jobs report. In addition, we'll get the February trade balance, expected to widen slightly and February factory orders, out mid-morning, are expected flat. Also on watch, Fed Chair Janet Yellen will make remarks to a St. Louis Fed conference in Washington Thursday morning. After a bunch of weaker economic data came out Wednesday, her speech will be closely examined for any further hints as to a rate hike timeline. Notable earnings reports are expected from CarMax and Perry Ellis.
