When freelance videographer Brendan Buckley got stuck in a “bison jam” driving through Yellowstone National Park on October 3, he took advantage of the moment to record beautiful 4K video of the herd.
Buckley told Storyful he was near the Lamar River in Wyoming, an area “where huge herds of bison sometimes clog the roads, causing ‘bison jams’ where cars will have to wait for them to clear off.”
This traffic jam lasted nearly an hour, he said. The high-definition video shows bison grazing, scratching, rolling in dirt, and finally crossing the road and a river.
