VideoPad Video Editor Free for Mac review

VideoPad Video Editor Free for Mac lets you quickly add, sequence, edit, and compile video and audio clips into a fully-formatted finished product. You can adjust and preview your film as much as you want, and then export it in a variety of formats.

Pros

Straightforward operations: You can quickly add files to this app via drag and drop. Once you have all the clips you want lined up, you can preview each individually and begin to add them to a Sequence. Each time you add a new clip to a Sequence, a pop-up window will appear asking you where to place the new addition. You can change that placement at any time as you proceed with your work. You can also preview an entire Sequence as many times as you want, until you have everything where you want it.

Transitions and effects: There are plenty of different transitions to choose from to smooth the switch from one clip to the next. To help give your video just the right look and feel, you can also choose to apply any of the many video and audio effects available.

Cons

Below the surface: All basic editing and processing features are quickly and clearly accessible through this app's clearly laid-out interface. If you want to get into some of the more advanced features, though, things get a little more cumbersome and confusing. There is a Help document available, and it covers just about everything you'd need. But it's also not very straightforward or intuitive to navigate, which means you may spend a while searching for the answer to your question.

Bottom Line

VideoPad Video Editor Free for Mac offers a nice set of features and a generally convenient user experience. Anyone trying to access advanced features may not find the process as accommodating as using the more basic functions of the app. But the basic features are probably plenty anyway.
