Videos Used as Evidence of Caribbean Princess Ocean Pollution Lawsuit

Videos used as evidence in the lawsuit against Princess Cruise Lines were released by the British Coast Guard on Friday, December 2. The US justice announced on Thursday the company will pay a $40 million fine for dumping oil into the ocean.

The case started in 2013, when an engineer aboard the Caribbean Princess cruise off the British coast discovered a pipe used to divert oil to the sea and reported it to local authorities. An investigation by the British and American coastguards and the U.S. Department of Justice took place. The videos released show the images used as evidence of the crime.
