The 2024 Kia Sorento has been refreshed with redesigned front and rear ends and the addition of a new trim level. Kia knows the mid-size SUV market is a hotly contested one, and with the addition of the new X-Pro trim, it's hoping consumers will continue the trend of popularizing raised crossovers riding on all-terrain tires.

The Kia Sorento is refreshed for 2024, adding redesigned front and rear ends and a new X-Pro trim at the top of the lineup. It's a $1000 option on the top, $47,765 SX-Prestige trim.

The Sorento X-Pro joins synonymous trims from the Telluride and Sportage lineups as an off-road capable version of the car at the top of the lineup.

We already appreciated the Sorento's smart styling, and the refreshed version only makes us bigger fans.

We're particularly happy with the new amber LED running lights on the X-Pro, since the Telluride ditched its amber in favor of a white DRL.

The refreshed interior looks a class above the previous generation, thanks in large part to the dual 12.3-inch displays adorning the dashboard.

New for the Sorento in 2024, the wireless versions of both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard for all trim levels.

Upper trims come standard with a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder producing 281 horsepower paired to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

In the upgraded X-Pro guise, the new Sorento adds a larger radiator fan to increase the towing capacity by 1000 pounds to a maximum of 4500.

The upgraded X-Pro rides on a set of 17-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A all-terrain tires, offering considerably more sidewall than the standard 20-inch wheels wearing all-seasons.
