The latest Mercedes-AMG GT now shares much of its underpinnings with the SL roadster.

The new AMG GT rides on a 2.8-inch-longer wheelbase and is 7.1 inches longer overall.

The stretched wheelbase allows the Mercedes-AMG GT to offer rear seats for the first time.

The Mercedes-AMG GT also adds all-wheel drive, another first.

Greater dimensions and new equipment mean the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT is also about 600 pounds heavier than its predecessor.

Motivating the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT63 is a 577-hp twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8.

The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT63 should get to 60 mph in just under 3.0 seconds flat.

Much of the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT will be familiar if you already own a Mercedes-AMG SL.

Besides the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT63 shown here, the lineup will also include a somewhat less powerful (469-hp) GT55 model.

Visitors to Florida’s Everglades National Park in late November were stunned to see an alligator swimming with its catch – a huge Burmese python that may be the largest ever found in the area.Video filmed by Kelly Alvarez from the Shark Valley Observation Tower shows the alligator with the dead, bloated, and partially eaten python in its maw.“That’s so gnarly, that’s so cool,” Alvarez says in the video.Alvarez, who is a tour guide in the Everglades, told Storyful she believed the alligator in the video was “one of the largest” seen in the national park, but the invasive python was much longer.“The record for longest python found in the Florida Everglades is 19 feet.
