The Volkswagen Jetta GLI sees a light update for 2025 but, unlike the GTI, retains its powertrain options, including a choice of a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic.

The 2025 Volkswagen Jetta GLI remains VW's accessible sports sedan.

As before, the 2025 Volkswagen Jetta GLI is powered by a 228-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four making 258 pound-feet of torque.

Unlike its Golf GTI sibling, the 2025 Volkswagen Jetta GLI still offers enthusiasts the choice of a manual transmission.

The Jetta GLI no longer offers a summer-tire option, however, and that hurt it in our performance testing.

With the available stick shift, the 2025 Volkswagen Jetta GLI posted a 6.0-second 60-mph time.

You might notice the 2025 Volkswagen Jetta GLI's new light bar that connects the slimmer headlights.

The rear styling also has been tweaked.

The 2025 Volkswagen Jetta GLI's seats are upholstered in leather with red piping. They're also heated and ventilated.

A new dash houses a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen.
