'The View' Twitter Is Convinced Ana Navarro-Cárdenas Will Replace Abby Huntsman

From Good Housekeeping

Friday marked Abby Huntsman's last day on The View after being on the panel for two seasons. As previously revealed, Abby has decided to leave to help her father, Jon Huntsman Jr., run his campaign for the governor of Utah.

During her final episode, Abby gushed about how much she loved working on the ABC daytime TV show and with her co-stars Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Meghan McCain, and Sunny Hostin.

"This [job] has been a dream come true, this has been an incredible job. I do love everyone at this table," she explained. Moments later, she on added: "I have so much respect for everyone at this table and for everyone at this show."

Who will replace Abby Huntsman on The View?

Now that Abby has said her last goodbyes, View-ers can't help but wonder who may be taking her chair. While ABC has yet to make any official announcements, many online think they have a pretty good idea of who The View will ultimately choose to fill the vacancy.

Below are the internet's top two guesses — or, at least, the two contenders that have the most vocal online support:

Immediately after Abby announced her departure, many took to Twitter to express their hope that ABC will make Ana full time. As fans of the show know already, Ana typically appears on Fridays only, unless she's filling in for one of the other co-hosts during the rest of the week.

When she's not on The View, she's typically serving as a political commentator on CNN. Ana's worked on Republican campaigns in the past (including John McCain's in 2008), despite being a vocal critic of President Donald Trump.

Ana aside, there's a growing number of posts with the hashtag #Emma4TheView out there, which demand that the ABC show hire this Rebel HQ correspondent and producer. Online, she's described as having a "progressive voice." Meanwhile, her Twitter bio reads, "Systemic corruption gave us Trump."

It's unclear at this point if ABC has taken note of the social campaign to get her on the show. For now, all we can do is wait to see if the internet is right!
