Viewers Fuming As 'Fake' Celebrity Big Brother Is Caught Staging Scenes

Yikes, Celebrity Big Brother will need to do a lot to wriggle their way out of this one…

The hit reality show has come under fire after producers accidentally exposed themselves ‘staging’ scenes for filming.

Viewers who had tuned in to last night’s live feed on 5Star were stunned to see the housemates pretending to go to bed on the instruction of Big Brother, before former EastEnders star Ricky Norwood congratulated the others on a “great take” as they jumped out and continued with their night.

Airing around midnight, Big Brother was heard wishing all of the housemates goodnight as the bedroom lights went out, with the voiceover saying: “This is Big Brother: Finalists, goodnight.”

The finalists all shouted goodnight and pretended to be going to sleep in their beds before the lights suddenly came back on and they all got out again, with Ricky saying: “Great take, guys, great take.”

Proving that the sleeping scene had only ever been a set-up, Big Brother then gave housemates further instructions, explaining in an unusually casual manner: “This is Big Brother: Housemates, just listen to Big Brother again.

"Big Brother will tell you that tomorrow is a really, really, big day for all of you – and it will start quite early and end quite late.

"So what Big Brother would suggest is that you all wash your teeth, get whatever washing you need done and then call it a night relatively quickly.”

Audio suddenly cut from the livestream and fans of the show took to Twitter to slam what they had seen:

A rep for Big Brother denied any wrongdoing, explaining in a statement: “Footage shown on the live feed involved Big Brother alerting housemates of a long final day ahead.

"The show is entirely authentic and the housemates are not scripted.”
