What viewers are all saying about Vardy v Rooney: A Courtroom Drama
Last night the eagerly anticipated Vardy v Rooney: A Courtroom Drama finally dropped on Channel 4. The two-part drama series, starring Natalia Tena, Chanel Cresswell and Michael Sheen, is a dramatisation of the defamation case between Rebekah Vardy and Colleen Rooney, and it's safe to say viewers are pretty much obsessed with the mini series.
In case you'd forgotten, the defamation case between the two women was a result of the infamous Wagatha Christie case. Back in 2019 Colleen Rooney claimed someone had been leaking stories about her to The Sun. After posting a number of fabricated stories on her private Instagram story, which were later seen in The Sun, Rooney claimed it was Vardy who had been selling the stories as she was the only one who had viewed her stories.
The two women went to trial earlier this year, with Vardy losing her defamation case against Rooney on 29th July.
The first episode of Vardy v Rooney: A Courtroom Drama dropped on Channel 4 last night and viewers have been tweeting to say how obsessed they are with the show, with one person saying: "I am way more invested in this than I expected to be."
And another said: "Anybody else watching Vardy VS Rooney. It’s actually really good keeps you hooked."

One person praised Natalia Tena's performance saying: "Absolute knockout performance from Natalia Tena as Rebakah Vardy #VardyvRooney."
And another said: "Oh Natalia Tena is absolutely bloody brilliant in this!!! #VardyvRooney. She plays Rebekah Vardy so well."
Michael Sheen played the role of barrister David Sherborne, who represented Colleen Rooney in court, and people are beyond impressed with his performance, with one person saying: "Can we just agree that Michael Sheen is good at everything? If he is going to be in something I know I will enjoy it."
Another agreed saying: "Michael Sheen is an inspired casting choice."
