Vigil Held for Pro-Democracy Protester Following Death in Myanmar

A vigil was held in Yangon, Myanmar, on Sunday, February 21, as a funeral took place for a woman who was reported to have died from injuries sustained during a pro-democracy protest earlier in the month.

Mya Thwe Thwe Khaing died on February 19 after being shot by police during a protest in the capital city on February 9, Frontier Myanmar reported.

The funeral was held in Naypyitaw on Sunday. Khine Yu captured this footage showing a vigil for the deceased and said it was captured in the eastern part of Yangon.
