Yahoo News Vinny Ashford is coming back to Coronation Street
No-one ever stays gone in soaps, do they?
Coronation Street's Vinny Ashford (Ian Kelsey) is set to be the latest character to make a comeback, according to reports in The Sun.
The publication doesn't state precisely why Vinny will be returning, but apparently he will become involved in Phelan's revenge plot against Andy Carver.
While ITV has told Digital Spy that "we don't comment on storyline speculation", we wouldn't be surprised to see Phelan want to get back at Vinny.
Last time we saw him, Vinny ran off with all the money that he and Phelan had accrued from the plot that saw them con various characters, selling them flats in a brand new property development that was never actually planned to be built.
Another recent Corrie return came with the discovery that poor Andy Carver didn't actually die at the hands of Phelan earlier this year - he's just been held captive in a cellar all this time.
He tried to make his escape in Monday's episode by physically attacking Phelan, but unfortunately for him, it didn't go too well.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
