Viper rescued in India after spending five days trapped in fishing net

A Russell's viper in Odisha, India, was rescued after spending five days trapped in a fishing net. Footage from April 13 shows an official freeing the snake by using scissors to cut away the netting. The rescuer took the snake to a vet to receive medical attention as it had suffered a severe injury. A vet managed to stitch the snake's cut skin back up and the viper was later released back into the wild.
