'I visited the Romford market stall that only sells England football memorabilia'

One man in East London has elevated his passion for England football to new heights. For the past 10 years, Jeffrey Dartford has been running a market stall exclusively selling national team memorabilia in Romford.

On Wednesday night (July 10) England will face the Netherlands in the Euro 2024 semi-finals, following their dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Switzerland, and Jeffrey is hoping a win will mean an extra boost in trade.

The 49-year-old has passionately supported England by selling affordable merchandise for a decade, having started back in the World Cup of 2014. He said: “I'm a big football supporter, I love England! And most shops don't sell these products, so I jumped on board!”

According to Jeffrey, the stall has been very busy during Euro 2024, with bucket hats and flags being top sellers. The most popular item, however, is the horn.

Jeffrey said: “Fridays and Saturdays are especially busy, but every day there's a buzz with fans gearing up. People love this stuff because they know we've got a very good chance this year!”

While we spoke to Jeffrey, many curious shoppers checked out the merchandise, and one buyer started chatting about tonight’s match. He confidently predicted a 2-1 victory for England.

However, Jeffrey disagrees. He said: “I know we're going to win 3-0 tonight, with Kane scoring first, a penalty. And we'll go to the final on Sunday and win there.”

Romford locals are equally confident about tonight's match. Four men sporting England football t-shirts at a nearby pub told MyLondon that England will showcase their true potential.

If England wins tonight, Jeffrey hopes to attend the final in Berlin. He saids: “I was at the England v Slovenia game in Germany, and the atmosphere was brilliant!”

The England vs. Netherlands match kicks off at 8pm on ITV1. The winner will face Spain in Sunday's final, after their victory against France.
