We visited Glasgow St Enoch Square's Winterfest for opening day and it's already buzzing
The countdown to Christmas is well and truly on as Glasgow's first Christmas market officially opens.
Winterfest at St Enoch Square opened today, November 9 and will run until December 29, with George Square's markets opening on November 23 until January 5.
As a result, we headed to the city centre this afternoon for the grand opening and were immediately greeted by Christmas music and the smell of festive goodies. The city centre was buzzing with early Christmas shoppers, with a few finishing off their trip with a mulled wine and festive treat.

As well as indulging in festive food, you can hop on funfair rides, and enjoy fun activities suitable for the whole family. From now until 29th December, you can make the most of the Christmas magic in the heart of Glasgow.
The smaller market is located directly next to St Enoch Centre, making it the perfect pitstop during or after a Christmas shopping spree.
The market will be open Monday to Thursday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Friday and Saturday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM and Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM.
Tickets for the iconic ice skating rink at George Square's Winterfest are now on sale and can be found here.
