The Voice fans are saying it's "about time" as judge Tom Fletcher teamed up with presenter Emma Willis to make a plea on Sunday. The update came after this series' second episode aired on ITV on Saturday night.

The latest instalment saw Tom, along with other judges Sir Tom Jones, LeAnn Rimes, will.i.am, and Danny Jones, decide who they did and didn't want on their teams, as aspiring singers took their turns to perform in the studio. And now Tom and Emma appear to be spending their Sunday together.

In a new video shared on Instagram by Tom, he and Emma sat side by side as Tom said: "I'm very excited, we have a date this week." Emma said: "We do have a date this week" before adding: "His wife is right there" and the camera then panned to Tom's wife Giovanna Fletcher.

Captioning the video, Tom added: "Please make our date night extra special and vote for @thevoiceuk at the NTAs! link in bio." Fans have been full of praise in the comments section, as Kirsty said: "I love your friendship group" and Theresa said: "It's about time The Voice won, brilliant show, love the family unit."

Joanne said: "Loving The Voice UK this year, what a fab line up…the best yet" and Maisie said "Couldn’t have put it better myself!" The NTAs air live on ITV this Wednesday, September 11, from 8pm.

Voting closes at midday on Wednesday.
