The Voice UK got off to a rather eccentric start this evening (January 20) with a pretty unconventional cover of a Disney classic.

Norfolk-based audio book narrator (an amazing-sounding job, btw) and musician Chris James took to the stage, though decided to avoid the rock or pop staples we are used to.

No, instead he picked the track 'Prince Ali' from Aladdin, complete with a load of moves that got the audience going.

While no-one turned for him initially, after a lot of hesitation, newbie Olly Murs pressed his button for Chris - and he didn't regret his decision.

"I had to," the coach said of his decision to spin.

However, the coaches then asked why he chose that particular song, with Will.i.am questioning why he didn't go for something a little more predicted like Metallica.
