Viewers who tuned into watch The Voice UK final on Saturday night accused the coaches on the show of 'sabotaging' their own acts with 'dire' song choices when it mattered most.

Having initially launched on BBC in 2012, The Voice has been on ITV for the 17 years, as stars like Jennifer Hudson, Bush's Gavin Rossdale, Olly Murs and Anne-Marie have all had a turn in the judge's chair. Olly and Anne-Marie's exit at the end of the last series did not go down well with some fans, as LeAnn Rimes was brought into replace Anne-Marie and Olly's replacement being revealed as McFly's Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher, as they made history as the show's first coaching double act.

Saturday's final saw each of the four finalists - eventual winner Ava, Billy & Louis, Deb-Orah and Storry - give one solo performance, before then duetting with their famous coach. And, having been underwhelmed by the songs picked for the first round of performances, more complaints started to flood when the duets were happening, with critics branding the song choices 'uninspiring' as LeAnnn and Voice veteran Sir Tom Jones came in for the most stick, as some viewers claimed they 'upstaged' their acts.
