The Voice UK saw a double whammy tonight (January 21) when a father and daughter auditioned separately for the blind auditions.

And while you would think both their talents would get them through – they were both pretty amazing, btw – it wasn't all happy endings.

Dad Geno Eccles was first up, singing a powerful version of 'You Are So Beautiful To Me'.

However, it was the end of the line for him, after he got no turns from the four coaches, leading daughter Hayley to get emotional.

Still, she had to keep her cool as she was up next, taking on a jazzy 'Upside Down'.

While it looked as she was heading for the same fate as her dad, will.i.am turned at the last second.

Geno then went on stage to embrace his daughter, Jennifer Hudson asking who the man was.

She was then informed that he was the previous auditionee that no-one turned for, Jennifer adding: "That's so sweet".

"I think you have a spectacular voice, really beyond," will said.

Tom Jones added of his no-turn: "I couldn't find anything wrong with it, I just didn't feel it."

However, Gavin noted: "You got the hardest guy here to turn around."

"I picky you, so let's go do magical stuff," will added.

The Voice UK airs on ITV.
