The Voice US has teased Ariana Grande's introduction as the show's latest coach as part of a brand new teaser.

Released on Tuesday, July 27, the NBC promo sees existing mentors Blake Shelton, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson chilling in a forest, as the former strums away on a guitar.

"You guys? This is really nice," Clarkson exclaims, as she sways to the tune, before Shelton stops abruptly, points to the sky and shouts, "Woah, look at that amazing star over there!"

"You mean Alpha Centauri?" Legend asks as Shelton replies: "No, I mean Ariana Grande!"

After the camera cuts to her hitting a high note while sitting on a faux half-moon, it pans back to see the 'Thank U Next' hitmaker – who was announced to be replacing Nick Jonas back in March – greet the rest of the gang and perch on a log.

Once she's sat down, Clarkson and Legend explain that The Voice folks have a long-standing tradition that sees each new coach perform a song around the campfire.

At first, Grande protests, explaining that it'd be "so awkward" for her to sing on the spot like that. But as a spotlight beams down on her from the heavens, she grabs a nearby microphone and starts belting out Olivia Newton-John's 'Hopelessly Devoted To You' from Grease.

Unsurprisingly, the '7 Rings' singer's vocals wowed the trio and prompted a whole bunch of woodland creatures to come out from their hiding places and enjoy the music, too. Heck, even a jaguar showed up at one point...

"This is going to be an amazing season," Shelton gushed, as Grande winked into the camera. We don't doubt it.

The Voice airs on NBC in the US. It is scheduled to return on September 20, 2021.
