Who can I vote for in Cambridge in the 2024 General Election?

The 2024 UK General Election is rapidly approaching - and people voting in Cambridge will have seven candidates to choose from at the polling station. Cambridge City Council has released its statement of persons nominated for the ballot for the constituency.

The deadline to apply to run as a candidate was 4pm on Friday, June 7. Voting will take place on Thursday July 4 after Rishi Sunak announced the election in late May.

Counting will then take place throughout Thursday night and into Friday morning (July 5).

The following candidates are standing in the Cambridge constituency in the 2024 General Election (parties as listed on the ballot paper):

Abu-Tayyem, Khalid (Workers Party of Britain)

Carmona, David (Independent)

Garrett, Keith (Rebooting Democracy)

Manning, Shane (The Conservative Party Candidate)

Nicmanis, Sarah (Green Party Candidate)

Payne, Cheney (Liberal Democrat)

Zeichner, Daniel ( Labour Party )
