Who can I vote for in Peterborough in the 2024 General Election?

The general election will take place in just over a month, on July 4.

Eight candidates are in the running to become Peterborough MP in the 2024 General Election. Peterborough City Council has released its statement of persons nominated for the ballot.

The deadline to apply to run as a candidate was 4pm on Friday, June 7. Voting will take place on Thursday July 4 after Rishi Sunak announced the election in late May.

Counting will then take place throughout Thursday night and into Friday morning (July 5).

The following candidates are standing in the Peterborough constituency in the 2024 General Election (parties as listed on the ballot paper):

Bristow, Paul (Local Conservatives )

Day, Nicola (The Green Party)

Hussain, Amjad (Workers Party of Britain)

Khan, Zahid Ejaz (Independent)

Morris Sue (Reform UK)

Pakes, Andrew (Labour and Co-operative Party)

Rogers, Tom (Christian Peoples Alliance)

Sandford, Nick (Liberal Democrat)
