Spider-Man: Homecoming 2will see Michael Keaton return as the Vulture.

At the end of the first film we saw Adrian Toomes imprisoned, so does this mean he'll be out and about causing more havoc in the sequel, or will he still behind bars?

Of course, in the film's mid-credits scene, there seems to be an indication that the Vulture has seen the error of his ways and is now protecting Peter Parker's identity, so his next move should be interesting.

The return of Keaton's character (via Variety) comes with the news that Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play classic Marvel villain Mysterio in what would be his first ever comic book movie role.

Gyllenhaal already has links to Spider-Man, having previously been considered to replace Tobey Maguire in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 when it was thought the actor would have to drop out due to a back injury sustained filming Seabiscuit.

Gyllenhaal also recently denied rumours he was the DCEU's next Batman.

Tom Holland will be returning as Peter Parker/Spider-Man (that might give you some indication as to what's going to happen in Avengers 4), while Zendaya and Marisa Tomei are also coming back.

Plot details are currently unknown, but Variety reports that Marvel and Sony are looking to add a male A-list actor to the sequel, as well as a new female lead, which they are currently holding auditions for.

Spider-Man: Homecoming2 is set to be released on July 5, 2019.
