Waccamaw River Flooding May Stretch Another Day

The National Weather Service said on September 25 that the Waccamaw River may not crest in Conway, South Carolina, until early Thursday, but they lowered their prediction by a few inches.

The river is now expected to stop short of 22 feet, but still four feet higher than the record set in 2016.

Conway officials flew a drone over the downtown area Tuesday afternoon to get a look at the water levels, capturing this video in the process. Credit: City of Conway via Storyful
