The Harry Potter films catapulted its child stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint into international fame, though some minor members of the cast have also found success after the show.

Derry Girls’ Nicola Coughlan shocked Harry Potter fans today when she pointed out that Lee Jordan - everybody’s favourite fast talking Quidditch commentator - went on to land an hilarious role in Community.

She tweeted in all caps, “MAGNITUDE FROM COMMUNITY IS LEE JORDAN FROM HARRY POTTER?!!”

Lee Jordan and Magnitude are both played by Luke Youngblood, who aside from the Harry Potter series and Community has also had recurring roles in shows such as Galavant and The Story of Tracy Beaker.

Coughlan shared a side by side of their characters, which showed them both holding a microphone (or the wizarding equivalent of one).

Community is an American TV show from Dan Harmon, the co-creator of Rick and Morty.

It revolves around a community college and though Youngblood’s character Magnitude isn’t a main player, he’s a big name on campus known for his catchphrase “pop pop!” The series is streaming now on Netflix in the UK.

A number of Harry Potter stars have gone on to take on surprising projects or veered into unexpected industries altogether.

Robert Pattinson went on to star in his own franchise Twilight (a move he said he came to regret) while Danielle Tabor, who played Angelina Johnson, has since become a bodybuilder.

Scarlett Byrne, who played Pansy Parkinson, was also in the news recently as she married Cooper Hefner, the heir to the Playboy empire and son of Hugh Hefner.
